Happy New Year

I am so excited to be back! I missed my blog and all of you wonderful readers! On New Year's day I sat down and looked back on my goals that I had made for my family last year. A couple of the ones on the top of my list included saving money on groceries and building up a food storage! Both of those goals were achieved and in a way I couldn't have expected. As I added my monthly report cards for 2009 I figured I saved over $6000 at the grocery store this year! The best part about it is that my food storage is INCREDIBLE! I have toothpaste that I scored for FREE shoved into each crack in my linen closet. I boxes of .25 cereal shoved underneath our beds and my pantry shelves can't hold another bottle, box or package! I have been creative and have all kinds of every day necessities hidden in my home.

Calendar is Open

Wow, I can't believe how fast time is flying by, almost as quickly as the leaves are changing. With time going by so fast, so is our calendar. I guess everyone is wanting to save money on groceries and household items so they can put more away for the holidays wink wink.

The month of November and December are already filling up fast!

We teach free classes for your clubs, staff meetings, enrichment activities, and girl's nights out!

We are also announcing our new "Couples Date Night" class. We have found that many husbands out there are shopping with their wives and some even shopping instead of the wives! I remember after I learned how to start couponing how many questions my husband had for me. So many times I wished he had been at the class I went to, to hear all about it. What an awesome opportunity for you both to hear a class. One of my favorite things about saving money on groceries is how happy it makes my hubby! I have often times caught him sharing how to use Grocery Smarts to friends and co-workers. In fact, one time I caught him taking a picture of my "a lot for less" and texting it to his friends! So, call a babysitter and schedule your own "Couples Date Night " class for all your friends and their spouses.

This is just a reminder about our class in Levan this upcoming week. There are still a few seats available. We do not plan on teaching at home classes in this area, so this is your chance to come to a class close by.

We announced our FREE class in Provo and we heard from all you girls down South telling us that was too far North for you, so here is your chance!

We have taught such great classes in Mt. Pleasant, Fillmore, Levan, Gunnison, Cedar City, Fountain Green and Nephi we thought instead of making you all wait 2 months for an at home class or having us drive out there 2-3 times a week we would have one GIANT class!

So, call your neighbors, set up a car pool and get ready for an awesome night where we will teach you how to get started saving BIG money and have fun winning prizes and raffle gifts!

Tonight I am teaching a class in Levan and unfortunately this will be my last class down there for a long while. I will still be doing classes in Nephi and Mona that are on my calendar, but further than that it will be a while. If you haven't been able to attend one already this is your last chance. Just a quick note: my cell phone is now acting up. Go figure my computer and cell phone in one week. Hosting a Class

Grocery Smarts offers free classes and is a free website that match’s grocery store ads to the manufactures coupons found in Sunday’s newspapers. We are able get you a great rate on your Sunday newspaper subscriptions so you have the correct number of coupons per person in your home.

In our classes we will teach you to

• Shop at only one grocery store- no running around town!
• Buy all your families’ groceries, household, and personal care items (including diapers) all for about $200 for a family of four- while building massive food storage at the same time!
• No clipping and filing individual coupons- Quick and easy! A HUGE way to save money!
• Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, and have ease in meal planning!
• Use the FREE website- There is no cost to attend and no cost to use the website
• Get a newspaper subscription at a great price

We don't mind traveling and most times we teach on weeknights anywhere between 6 or 7pm. If you are looking for a daytime class or a weekend class, let us know and we can work something out for your group. Our classes usually run about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 min.

After we confirm your date we will e-mail you a host packet with some invitations that you can e-mail or print off and hand out to your guests. Many hosts also share their invites on their blogs, Facebook and Twitter pages.

If you share this system with your friends and host a party here is what we will give to you:

• The same coupon organizer that we use.
• If 15 or more moms attend we will have a raffle and some other great prizes up for grabs
