Thursday, May 14, 2009 |
Last week I bought tons of Mac and Cheese and lots of BBQ sauce, but now I need to find ways to use it!!! What are some recipes you guys have using either of those ingredients?

I found this one on KCL but it looks really good. I am going to try it.

Citrus Barbecued Chicken Breasts
1-1/2 cups Kraft Barbecue Sauce
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
1/3 cup orange juice
6 large boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 2 lb.)
MIX barbecue sauce, orange peel and juice. Reserve 1/2 cup of the barbecue sauce mixture. Pour remaining barbecue sauce mixture into shallow baking dish. Add chicken; turn to evenly coat both sides of each chicken breast. Cover. REFRIGERATE 30 min. to marinate. Drain; discard marinade. PREHEAT greased grill to medium heat. Grill chicken 12 to 15 min. or until tender and no longer pink in centers (170°F), turning and brushing occasionally with the reserved 1/2 cup barbecue sauce mixture after 8 min.

Easy Bacon wrapped Bar-b-que chicken:

Place chicken breats in glass dish. Cover with strips of bacon. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 45 min. Take off foil, pour most of the juice out, pour a whole bottle of bar-b-que sauce over the top and bake for another 15 min. So good and easy!

Can't say that it's a favorite recipe, but you can make Mac and Cheese and then add a can of chili to it. It at least adds something substantial to an otherwise "kid" meal.

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 cup BBQ sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in greased 3 1/4 to 5 quart slow cooker. cover and cook on high for 4 hrs on on low for 6-8 hrs.

Just a simple meal with not much prep. I take 4-6 skinless boneless chicken breast and put them in my crock pot mid morning and pour bbq sauce on them.
I just keep the crock pot on low all day and them pull them out and make a baked potato and some veggies and its a meal. plus with left overs we usually eat bbq chicken sandwiches for a couple days worth of lunches! Not a clue on Mac and Cheese!

If you ever buy boneless ribs when they're on sale at Maceys, they're great in BBQ (brown them first then slow cook).
